Due Diligence Against Illegal, Unreported & Unregulated (IUU) Fishing
All our fishing vessels adhere to the respective quota systems and local fishing regulations in the waters in which we operate. Fishing authorisation is strictly controlled from the moment each vessel registers its participation in a fishery and a government appointed certifying body verifies the size of the cargo area of the fishing vessels, as well as the type of nets to be used. Global positioning systems (GPS) are installed on all our vessels for captains to know and accurately report their exact location at any time.
Vessel monitoring systems (VMS) are the predominant way to prevent illegal fishing and without the conventional equipment in place, our vessels would not qualify for the respective certificates to operate.
