Sustainability & Traceability
Sustainability is an issue that we take very seriously. In our industrial fishing division, we advocate sustainable fishing practices and abide all fishing regulations. In our processing and distribution division, we work only with reputable fishing companies and suppliers with good operating records, and are in alignment with our environmental objectives and beliefs.

We are also constantly working to provide a clear and traceable supply of fish from source to customer. Our clear internal guidelines are in line with international control standards to ensure that no fish derived from illegal, unregulated, and unreported activities enters our supply chain. Since January 2006, our procurement processes have been independently reviewed on a quarterly basis by an international audit firm, to verify that all fish sourced from the Group are accompanied by the proper documentation, such as health certificates and certificates of origin in every shipment that we receive.

Product Responsibility
Product safety and quality are of paramount importance to us. Our fish processing plants are the first in China, and amongst the first in Asia to achieve certification under the rigorous ISO 22000 international food safety system. This system has helped us unify our other existing quality and safety systems, such as ISO 9001, EFSIS-British Retailer Consortium (BRC) Global Standards, and Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP).

Occupational Health & Safety
We believe that one of the crucial aspects behind the success of our operations is our staff. Their welfare features prominently in our personnel policy, which is subject to regular social audits carried out by Bureau Veritas CPS based on Ethical Trade Initiative (ETI) requirements. We do not discriminate against people based on their gender, race or marital status. We do not employ under-aged workers, and offer fair compensation and benefits that are well above minimum wage levels. We also maintain quality working premises and staff accommodation that encourages the attainment of work-life balance. In addition, as a testament to our efforts in promoting a safe work environment, we are certified under the OHSAS18001 system.
